Pontypridd Museum
Housed in a converted chapel built in 1861, the centre tells the story of the town and it’s people. A new audio visual programme explains the origins of the chapels and traces the influence of Welsh Dissent at home and overseas
A large panoramic painting shows the town and the surrounding area as it would have appeared 150 years ago.
Among the exhibits in a section on the musical history of the town is a life size figure of Sir Geraint Evans dressing to sing 'Falstaff'
Use of audio-visual programmes and ‘hands on’ exhibits illustrate elements of social, military, sporting and cultural history, as well as industry and transport.

The centre also has a craft and book shop and a section dedicated to tourist information.
There is also a room to seat 75 people which is available for meetings and functions, and on the first of November 2007, was the venue for the launch of this website:- www.pontypriddtown.co.uk.
