Optics was established in Pontypridd in the 1980s and has since been supplying
its large customer base with cut price spectacles and optical goods.
Before he opened Rytec Optics, managing director Gareth M. Ryan worked for a well known local opticians group where he gained a vast experience in the world of optical supply. He thought that customers were paying too much for the goods provided and recognising a business opportunity, he decided to open his optical company.
Under Gareth's direction, Rytec Optics has built up an almost country wide reputation for supplying quality spectacles at rock bottom prices, and regularly deals with clients from the four corners of the UK.
They do not test your eyes, but will make up a pair of spectacles from any prescription that your optometrist is legally bound to supply to you. You can also take your old spectacles to them and they will make you a new pair by taking the prescription from them. Whichever way, they will save you money. Their prices start from only £46 for a complete pair of single vision spectacles, from £76 for bifocals and from only £100 for varifocals.
